The beauty of nature and the spontaneous moments that occur when plein air painting, are what I try blend into the spirit and mood of my paintings. All of the senses are working when you paint outdoors. That stays with me and into my studio when finishing the paintings shown here. Whether those sessions are spent in perfect weather or just the opposite. Its what mother nature decides upon. Some paintings are like a walk in the woods, or canoeing a peaceful lake. Thosepaintings come with ease. Others, like climbing Giant Mountain, or kayaking remote and swollen rivers aren't as easy to undertake. The challenges always present themselves, but are not insurmountable if you learn to choose your direction wisely.
